When I was a kid growing up in the early 1970's, we had a normal house in a quiet
neighborhood. There was a small piece of property between our yard and a two lane
road. My parents purchased the property and decided to plant a vegetable garden.
After a few years, when I was old enough to realize the true potential of having
a never ending supply of overly ripe veggies at my disposal, I knew what I had to
do. With the help of some friends, we waited until it was dark and collected a few
handfuls of whatever rotting veg was available. Carrying our stash using the bottom
part of our t-shirts, we positioned ourselves within throwing distance of the passing
cars. One by one, we let those veggie fly, trying our best to hit each passer by.
I'll never forget those carefree days growing up, and now, I share them with you.
